About the Author
After completing her Masters in Engineering, D.S. Pais has been working in the IT industry. She is a born-dreamer, imagines a lot. She has been writing since young, but considered it seriously since 2016. D.S. Pais is a creative person who once worked as an actress in student films and TV series for a brief period, until she discovered that her passion was in writing.
She writes short stories, novellas, novels, poetry and self-help books, as she cannot put her thoughts anywhere else. When she is not working on a book, she too enjoys reading books from different authors, watches movies in her free time, loves travelling and routinely works out (Pilates). Many of her titles have appeared among the top 100 Amazon Best Sellers in their own section. Born and brought up in India, D.S. Pais has taken Singaporean Citizenship and currently resides in Singapore with her husband and two children.
Our Interview with Author D.S. Pais,
1. What is your name?
My name is Deepika Smitha Pais Cutinha. My name is so long isn’t it? I use my pen name D.S.Pais for authoring books.
2. How do you describe yourself in a line?
I am an authoress, novelist and a poetess.
3. What current projects, books and events are you working on?
I am currently working on a non-fiction title. For me, writing is an art in itself, an imaginary world to escape. After that I will be working on a title which will contain mini-stories. After that the next title would be a novel. I complete one book, feel satisfied about the content and then only proceed to the next.
I have authored more than 23 titles and you may wish to read “Matters of the Heart”, “An Unlikely Christmas”, “The Spell of an Irresistible Woman”, ”Poetry on Inspiring Women” , “The Silhouette in the Picture” or “The METHOD” to just get a glimpse of my work.
4. What is the title of your short story written in Ukiyoto Publishing Collaborative Project?
The title of the short story would be: “A cherished eye-opener”
5. Have you won any awards, certificates, nominations for your writings?
I usually work towards competitions with winning in mind. Many of my titles have appeared among the top 100 Amazon best-sellers in their own section, something that puts a smile on my face!
I write poetry, short stories, non-fiction titles, novellas and novels, always striving to take the readers to a different world. I am a multi-genre author.
6. Have you written any articles, blogs or columns for other publications?
I contribute towards guest articles on bloggers sites, I used to be a ghost-writer before and since I have begun to write my own books, I produce new titles to enchant my own imaginations. I have written a collaboration title with other authors too – “Ten Tales: Collection of Selected Short Stories across the world”
7. What are your hobbies, dreams and future goals?
I indulge in writing. I love reading books and I am always travelling with a book. I watch movies and love travelling to different countries. I do Pilates to keep myself fit.
I am always working towards getting an audience who will continuously like my work. I dream of a future where my books can reach out to readers world-wide and my writing skills are on par with the accomplished authors of this century.
